Legal Sea Foods
your comments review this restaurant
In our search for the supposedly excellent Boston sea food we left no stone unturned. After trying "No Name", another supposedly great seafood place, we went to Legal. This turned out to be another example in industrial preparation of food that is part of a big chain.Maybe the seafood was originally good, but by the time it goes through this kind of restaurant which is geared up to serve hundreds of meals in a day, it comes out as terribly uninspiring, and generally without flavour or finesse.
There is absoluitely no individuality in any of the dishes, and the swordfish was like eating chewy, cotton wool.If blindfolded, I would have been unable to tell you what fish it was.Vegetables are mass cooked, and lacking in taste/crunch.
Portions are overly large, but as the food is mediocre, why would you want and pay for more of it????The Americans seemed happy to ask for leftovers to be packed for them to take away.
I am quite sure that anyone with a cat for a pet will find that even that cat will turn up its nose at this fish leftover.
Desserts are of the gloopy sugar bomb variety and best left to those aiming for obesity.
